Sans Engagement Illimité, audio, 1'39", 2013

Intangible work, this sound installation calls our senses and plays with the perceptions of the viewer by creating an invisible omnipresence of the other. Built from various voices picked up by phone, these "ghost" sounds clash and reverberate and their echoes are remaining unanswered.

This record questions the dematerialization of our relationship to others : today, the relationships with others are easier and faster, because of social medias and meeting apps, but at the same time the distance between the individuals and the feeling of loneliness are bigger. This observation echoes a paradox of our society, which is to have freed itself from the material thanks to the new technologies and the hyperconnection.

In a world where the territorial distance has been partially abolished, what about the relation to others?
