An exploration of childhood nostalgia and its perverse indelible marks.

 

Images were extracted from Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, with the hypothesis that witch and fairy, are in fact the same character, echoing the "good-enough" and "not good-enough" mothers of Melanie Klein. 

 

A mother who has assimilated the diktats of society and media and therefore turned gifts into spells of morbid obsession for beauty and eternal youth as kindly as possible.
